Describing Objects

  • After identifying an object, an abstraction is created by describing it as a set of attributes and operations. Attributes hold data values related to an object.
  • Example of attributes are:
    1. weight
    2. size

  • Operations are activities performed by an object as a result of an event.
  • Example of activities are:
    1. roll
    2. fall

  • Relationships to other objects are described.
  • Example of relationship between car and wheel:
    1. car has wheels
