  • 1st pass : Identify objects and attributes
    1. Document in object model & data dictionary

  • 2nd pass: Remove unnecessary classes and add inheritance
    1. Document in object model & data dictionary

  • 3rd pass: Add associations, cardinality, refine associations, add new attributes due to associations, clarify containment/aggregations
    1. Document in object model & data dictionary

  • 4th pass: Add class behavior via dynamic model If satisfied with the model go to design else go back to 2nd pass
